On this day: Germany took Memel from Lithuania

On the 22nd of March 1939, Germany continued its invasion of Eastern Europe by taking Memel from Lithuania.

    Although I dislike the renaming of this street, it is fair to say that this area was German from 1422 until 1918 & seized by Lithuania during the Klaipdeda Revolt of 1923. The population was predominantly German.
