On this day: the May Fourth Movement in 1919

Protestors at the May Fourth Movement, dissatisfied with Article 156 of the Treaty of Versailles for China (Shandong Problem).

People in China protesting their government’s weak response to the Treaty of Versailles, which had transferred Chinese territory to Japan. 4th May 1919.
